High-Altitude Wind Machines Could Power New York City

This article is about earth science, energy and the environment. It explains if wind machines would be placed thousands of feet above the city could theoretically could power up the city, because no matter how much wind blows through the streets of New York City it wouldn't be able to power up the city. It states that first rigorous worldwide study of high-altitude wind power estimates that there will be enough wind energy at altitudes of about 1,600 to 40,000 feet to meet the global electricity hundred times over.

I like that the article states interesting facts about the electricity we use daily. I found it very interesting to know that the wind power can be possiable to power up the whole city. Its also good to know because we use energy everyday and it relates on to us humans.
